When to Call

Is it a plumbing emergency?

Some plumbing problems can wait for a booked visit. Others can damage your home, cut off essential services or create a safety risk if they're left overnight. If any of these sound familiar, call CF Plumbing:

  • Water is leaking or spraying and you can't stop it
  • A pipe has burst, or water is coming through a ceiling, wall or floor
  • Your hot water system is leaking, or you've suddenly lost hot water
  • You suspect a fault with gas plumbing or a gas appliance connection
  • Wastewater or sewage is backing up or overflowing

Emergency Services

Emergency plumbing we can help with.

Burst Pipes & Major Leaks

When a pipe fails or a leak is putting water where it shouldn't be, we'll help stop the damage and carry out the repair.

Hot Water Problems

Leaking units, failed systems or no hot water at all. Hot water systems are one of our regular plumbing services.

Gas Plumbing Problems

Gas fitting is part of what we do. If you smell gas, get to safety first (see below), then call us about the gas plumbing.

Taps, Toilets & Fixtures

A tap that won't turn off, a toilet that won't stop running or a failed fixture connection that's wasting water.

Wastewater & Septic Problems

Urgent wastewater and septic plumbing issues, including on rural properties where we already do this work.

Other Urgent Plumbing

If a plumbing problem genuinely can't wait until business hours, give us a call and talk it through.

Stay Safe

What to do in a plumbing emergency.

A few simple steps can limit the damage while you get help. Only do what you can do safely.

  1. Turn Off the Water

If it's safe to reach, turn off the water at the mains tap, usually near your water meter. For a single fixture, try its isolation valve.

  2. Keep Clear of Electrics

Stay away from power points, switches and appliances near water. Don't touch anything electrical while standing in water.

  3. Smell Gas? Get Out

Don't use flames or switches. Leave the area, then call your gas supplier's emergency line, or 000 if there's immediate danger.

  4. Call CF Plumbing

Call 0456 714 356 and tell us what's happening and where you are.

This is general guidance only. If anyone is in danger, or there's a risk of fire, electrocution or a serious gas leak, call 000 first.

5 out of 5 stars

Cody from CF Plumbing and Bathrooms in Coffs Harbour installed a Rheem heat pump hot water system for us, including a full system replacement and relocation. He did an excellent job — while working on it, he ran into some historic plumbing faults in the house and sorted them out without any fuss, just got on with it and explained what was going on along the way. Communication was great throughout, and he stuck to his word on timing and cost. We had an emergency plumbing issue come up later and called him — he was here within 2 hours, which we really appreciated. Pleasant, positive, and trustworthy — clearly knows what he's doing. Would recommend Cody and CF Plumbing and Bathrooms to anyone needing plumbing work done.

FAQ

Emergency plumbing questions.

Does CF Plumbing offer 24/7 emergency plumbing?

Yes. CF Plumbing & Bathrooms provides 24/7 plumbing assistance, day or night, including weekends. Call 0456 714 356 and let us know what's going on.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything where waiting would cause damage, cut off an essential service or create a safety risk — for example a burst pipe, a leak you can't stop, a leaking or failed hot water system, a suspected gas plumbing fault, or wastewater backing up.

If you're not sure, call and describe the problem. We can tell you whether it needs attention now or can be booked in.

Do you provide emergency plumbing in Coffs Harbour?

Yes. Coffs Harbour is at the centre of the area we service, and our 24/7 plumbing assistance is available there and in the surrounding Coffs Coast towns.

What areas does CF Plumbing service?

Coffs Harbour, Korora, Sapphire Beach, Emerald Beach, Sandy Beach, Mullaway, Woolgoolga, Corindi and Corindi Beach, Halfway Creek, Sawtell, Bellingen, Urunga, Scotts Head, Nambucca Heads and Macksville. If your town isn't listed, give us a call and ask.

What should I do if I have a burst pipe?

If it's safe, turn off the water at the mains tap (usually near the water meter). Keep away from electrical outlets and appliances near the water, move valuables out of the way if you can, then call us.

Can you help with urgent hot water problems?

Yes. Hot water systems are one of our regular services. If your system is leaking, turn off its water supply if you can do so safely, and switch off its power or gas supply before calling.

What if I smell gas?

Your safety comes first. Don't use naked flames or operate electrical switches, leave the area, and call your gas supplier's emergency line — or 000 if there's immediate danger. Once everyone is safe, we can help with the gas plumbing repair.
